What should my Broadband modem settings be?
Your modem should come with an instruction manual that shows you how and where to enter the settings.

Operating Mode : G.992.1, G.DMT or ANSI T1.413 iss 2. Not for G.Lite or G.992.2

VPI : 0

VCI : 100

Encapsulation : RFC 2364 (or 'PPPoverATM', also known as 'PPPoA')

User name : this should be your normal Telecom Internet username with the extension '.xadsl' after it, and it should be entered in the form of an email address. For example, john.smith.xadsl@xtra.co.nz

Password : this should be the same password you use for your normal Telecom Internet account
If you can no longer remember your Telecom Broadband password, please ring 0800 738 738 with a copy of your Telecom account number.
If you have trouble setting up your modem, please check your modem manual or contact the company that supplied it.
