Is the Expanded iBook Logic Board Repair Extension Program available for other Apple computers?
No. This program applies to those systems noted above.

When does the expansion to the iBook Logic Board Repair Extension Program begin?
The original program began on January 28, 2004. This expansion, which adds certain models, is effective immediately.

How long is the Expanded iBook Logic Board Repair Extension Program available?
The program covers affected iBooks for three years after the first retail sale of the unit or until March 18, 2005, whichever provides longer coverage for you. Apple will continue to evaluate the repair data and will provide further repair extensions as needed.

Is there a cost to customers who participate in the Expanded iBook Logic Board Repair Extension Program?
The repairs outlined in this program, including shipping charges, are covered at Apple's cost.

I paid for an eligible repair before the Expanded iBook Logic Board Repair Extension Program began. Will Apple reimburse me for the cost of the repair?
If you paid for an eligible repair, Apple will reimburse you for the cost of the repair. To be reimbursed, please contact the Apple Contact Center. The U.S. support number is 1-800-275-2273. Apple will pro-actively contact affected customers where Apple has their contact information. Service that was performed to repair damage caused by accident or misuse is not covered under the program.

How can I tell if my computer is affected by the component failure identified for the Expanded iBook Logic Board Repair Extension Program?
Either an Apple technical support representative or an Authorized Apple Service Provider (AASP) will determine if the component failure identified for the Expanded iBook Logic Board Repair Extension Program affects your computer and, if so, arrange for the repair. If your iBook is eligible for this program, it will be repaired at Apple's cost, including shipping charges. Repair may include repair or replacement of the main logic board.

How can I participate in the Expanded iBook Logic Board Repair Extension Program?
To participate in the program, call the appropriate Apple Contact Center for the country in which you are located, or contact a local AASP. The U.S. support number is 1-800-275-2273.

Will my repair be completed by an AASP or a Mac Genius at an Apple retail store?
In order to ensure the highest level of efficiency possible for all customers, Apple is consolidating these repairs at the Apple Repair Center. If your iBook is eligible for this program, an AASP or Mac Genius at an Apple retail store can send your iBook to Apple for the repair.

What if my computer exhibits symptoms not caused by the component Apple has identified for the Expanded iBook Logic Board Repair Extension Program?
It is possible that your iBook may exhibit display issues, or other issues, that are unrelated to the specific component identified by Apple as part of this program and are not covered under this program. Apple or an AASP can help you troubleshoot these issues. If your iBook is not covered under warranty or an extended service agreement, such as the AppleCare Protection Plan, repairs for other issues will be your responsibility.

I have a remanufactured iBook that fits the description noted, however, the serial number does not follow the format indicated. How can I determine whether my iBook qualifies for the program?
If your iBook is one of the models listed and exhibits one or more of the symptoms above, call the appropriate Apple Contact Center for the country in which you are located, or contact a local AASP. The U.S. support number is 1-800-275-2273. Either an Apple technical support representative or an AASP will determine if your product qualifies under the program and whether the component failure identified for the Expanded iBook Logic Board Repair Extension Program affects your computer.

Does the Expanded iBook Logic Board Repair Extension Program extend the warranty coverage on my iBook?
